SUMMARY:
Lifesharing is where Individuals with developmental disabilities live and share life experiences with supportive persons who form a caring household. Through Lifesharing, individuals with developmental disabilities have the opportunity to be part of a family and be active in their communities.
Lifesharing is an alternative to residential living homes or group homes. Lifesharing allows the Individual being supported the opportunity to grow and thrive in a family setting. Providers must have appropriate living space in the home andreceive a competitive monthly tax free stipend, access to training's, respite, after hours on-call support and a Program Specialist to acclimate them to their new role.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Physical for all members for all residents in home
- PPD or chest xray for all residents in home
- Clean criminal background check for resident in home over the age of 18
- reliable transportation with car insurance, registration, inspection and Drivers License with good driving record.
