Mechanically inclined and willing to learn a new trait. Daily tasks include:
- Troubleshoot electric motors and have the ability to repair them.
- Identify parts needed for repairs.
- Be able to identify parts for repair such as; Stator, Rotor, seal areas, bearing journals, bearing housings, keyways, volutes, stator housing, etc.)
- Understand repair processes for welding, machining, and winding
- Disassemble and re-assemble of Gearboxes, Split Case pumps, Submersible Pumps, etc.
- Disassemble horizontal and vertical motors
- Basic understanding of single-phase circuits
- Understand how to use and read a micrometer
- Use electrical testing equipment like meggers
- Completes the proper repair paperwork for ordering parts
- Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (especially eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes/boots, gloves, etc.)
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Willing to learn new techniques to help complete assigned tasks
