Job Summary:
The Drain Technician provides thorough diagnostics of drainage issues as well as cleans drain and sewer lines with drain cleaning equipment. Will reach out to Dispatch when deemed a Project Manager is required to camera the line or give upfront pricing for long-term solution.
Essential Duties:
- Operate sewer cleaning equipment, including power rodders, high velocity water jets, sewer flushers, bucket machines, wayne balls, and vac‐alls.
- Service, adjust, and make minor repairs to equipment, machines, and attachments.
- Withdraw cables from pipes and examine them for evidence of mud, roots, grease, and other deposits indicating broken or clogged sewer lines.
- Prepare and keep records including pictures of actions taken for maintenance and repair work.
- Install rotary knives on flexible cables mounted on machine reels, according to the diameters of pipes to be cleaned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of plumbing field concepts, practices, best practices, procedures, tools, and equipment.
- Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- OSHA Safety Standards knowledge and/or certification
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces to access
- Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
- Natural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception.
- Work assignments may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation to a known disability.

- Field service environment.
- Exposure to smells associated with sewer and water, sounds associated with power tools.

- Extreme weather conditions.
- Extended work hours to include day and/or evening shifts
- Local travel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
