SUMMARY
The Senior Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of maintenance operations including optimizing the storage and cost management of spare parts management, team member safety, superior customer service to your internal customers, downtime reduction planning and team member and Shift Manager personal development by directing the performance review process twice per year. This position will ensure adherence to all Preferred Marketing Solutions quality assurance programs, develops leadership skills in self and direct reports, while creating a safe working environment according to company standards. This position ensures quality management to all aspects of maintenance, repair, modification and safety operations to allow Preferred Marketing Solutions (PMS) to maintain operations and productivity. *The ideal candidate will have print manufacturing experience*
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage and develop the maintenance team in a continuous improvement manufacturing and distribution environment. Function as a key member on the Management Team in leading and demonstrating Papa John’s Core values while ensuring daily business and customer service objectives are achieved. Manage the overall leadership in safety awareness and performance in the department and throughout Preferred. Lead and participate in PMS system wide cross-functional teams and taskforces. Manage overall department performance to assist in meeting plant goals and objectives. Provide leadership of the department to develop and manage preventive maintenance (“PM”) program using a parts management system and ensure PM is performed safely and according to manufacturer and PMS policies. Lead and participate in all major repairs, capital & maintenance projects and manage outside contractors as necessary. Maintain productivity standards by providing metrics surrounding key performance indicators. Recommend ways to increase productivity levels/performance through knowledge of formal continuous improvement methodology Develop and manage department budget and manage all financial aspects of the department including capital project estimates and payroll. Develop and maintain long-term strategic capital plan that includes equipment replacement and productivity improvement/cost savings. Coordinate, plan and develop contingency plans with the Senior Management Team in order to minimize operational interruptions in the event of equipment breakdowns. Adhere to all Papa John’s International and Preferred Marketing Solutions policies as stated in company manuals, training manuals or other written communications.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Able to effectively communicate and provide verbal and written direction in English required. Demonstrated skills/certification in general maintenance, HVAC/refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, PLC logic, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals, electrical blueprints/electrical schematics. Strong technical troubleshooting skills Capital project business case development experience Demonstrated experience in developing and leading a formal preventative maintenance program. Microsoft Office experience required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Able to safely operate a forklift and manual/electric pallet jacks.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College degree or equivalent experience in industrial manufacturing preferred.
- 3 years progressive management experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of local, state and federal regulations and Jefferson County audits required, i.e., Jefferson County Air Pollution Control, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to use hands repetitively, stand, walk, grasp firmly/strongly and/or simply/lightly with hands, and use fine finger dexterity. The team member is frequently required to bend over, twist, reach above shoulder level, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a
twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Occasionally, the team
member is required to sit, climb, balance, push and/or pull, and lift and/or move over 61 pounds.

Essential functions are performed in a distribution/manufacturing environment and in accordance with PMS's safety policies/guidelines.
