We are seeking full-time line cooks, prep cooks with the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen. Attention to detail, organization and cleanliness are all needed from our line cooks. You must be self-motivated, have strong communication skills, and have the ability to produce quality fresh foods in a busy kitchen. Basic Qualifications
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality Breakfast sandwiches and food products.
- Prepare menu items to our recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
- Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
- Ability to stand and be on your feet for extended periods of time
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to build relationships
- Ability to lift, push/pull, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds up and down stairs. For example, you’ll be putting away food purveyor orders, cases of eggs, and trash bags/bins
- Ability to smell and taste, helping ensure quality control for each food item/ingredient
What you’ll be doing
- Ensure that customer orders are accurately and efficiently made
- Learn our food menu and cook and serve breakfast sandwiches to our standards
- ensure prep work such as but not limited to cooking bacon, making sauces, portioning avocado
- Ensure the line is clean, stocked, and that your team has everything they need.
- Work with fellow team members to ensure that shift tasks are delegated and completed
- Prepare the kitchen for openings and close the kitchen so it is ready for the next day
- Support your team in keeping the line running smoothly and beautifully - these tasks may vary but can include washing dishes, sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning and organizing, and taking out trash.
- Stay knowledgeable about our current menu and sandwich offerings.
