Our growing orthopedic medical practice is looking for a qualified, team-oriented and energetic Physical Therapist Assistant to join our PT/OT/Rehab program.
We are looking for a skilled PTA who will be an integral addition to our Therapy team. As a PTA, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from injuries and improve their overall physical well-being. Your responsibilities will include assisting the physical therapist in providing patient care, implementing treatment plans, monitoring progress, and educating patients on exercises and activities. Your skills in outpatient, orthopaedic settings, medical terminology, occupational health practices, patient care, anatomy, and physiology, will be essential to your success in this role. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- New Jersey Physical Therapy Assistant License
- Minimum of one year clinical experience as a practicing PTA
- Effective communication skills
- Strong ethical and moral character references
PTA DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the physical therapist in providing patient care and treatment
- Implement treatment plans under the guidance of the physical therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Educate patients on exercises and activities to improve their condition
- Assist with therapeutic exercises and modalities
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area
SKILLS:
- Outpatient orthopaedic setting experience a plus
- Strong patient care skills
- Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $54,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
