Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our patients. Responsibilities:
- Assesses and identifies individual needs upon admission and periodically
- Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, friends, and families
- Provides strong leadership to direct care staff
- Assists all staff with establishing individualized, person-centered care plans with resident
- Provides person-centered education to enable residents, friends, and family to understand their condition, medications, and self-care skills
- Answers questions and addresses concerns about individual health and wellness concerns as appropriate
- Provides confident, efficient and complete care within the established scope of practice as permitted by licensure and outlined in the individual care plan of the resident
- Communicates resident care and clinical needs to nursing staff as appropriate
- Supervises nursing staff (LPNs, care partners) to ensure appropriate, person-centered care is always being delivered
- Answers call bells within a reasonable amount of time, acknowledging resident request(s) and needs
- Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure their overall comfort and well-being
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
Experience:
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Possess current licensure in Illinois as a Registered Nurse
- 1-year experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
- Basic Life Support certification
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team atmosphere
- Have strong listening, communication & hospitality skills
- Good computer skills & be able to learn how to use an electronic medical records system
- Ability to bend, lift, transfer & transport residents
Physical Demands

- Stands/walks most of the shift
- Must be able to stoop, push, pull, lift, and transfer residents weighing 50 to 250 pounds
- Able to wear gloves and other protective equipment
- Generally pleasant conditions, but possible exposure to unpleasant sights, sounds and odors
- May have to deal with unpleasant or uncomfortable situations involving difficult residents and/or families
- Normal healthcare risks
- Possible muscle strains due to lifting residents
- Possible verbal abuse and physical injury from residents
