Hygiene Coordinator/Administrative Assistant
Monday - Thursday
Working Hours 6:30am-3:30pm
Patient Hours 7:00am-3:00pm
The perfect candidate will have excellent communication skills, and ability to work efficiently and effectively with other dental staff. Must possess an upbeat, friendly attitude and great work ethic. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. The person in this position will be responsible for maintaining a full hygiene schedule, navigating the schedule to ensure that dentist and hygienist are able to help as many patients as possible while having the appropriate time for each procedure.

Prefer dental background but if we find the right candidate, then we will train on how to do all the skills listed below.
Required skills:
- Knowledgeable and able to discuss and educate patients about all dental treatments (Preferred but not required)
- Check patients in and out/collect payment
- Make sure all charts have appropriate forms and other information required for appointments
- Recent and/or updated x-rays
- Yearly updated health history form
- Ensure every patient has a scheduled recall appointment prior to leaving the office
- Schedule Hygiene appointments efficiently and correctly
- Be proactive in maintaining a full hygiene schedule and filling any openings
- Maintain and work a recall list for patients who have cancelled or missed appointments
- Maintain and work a list for patients who have been referred out for treatment and need to return to our practice for their routine hygiene appointments
- Maintain and work a list for patients who have completed periodontal treatment with our office and need to return for routine dental hygiene care
- Maintain an ASAP list for patients who would like a sooner appointment or can come in with short notice
- Handle dental phone calls about schedule, treatment, payments, etc.
- Be knowledgeable of our fees, procedures offered, and patient policies
- Send daily hygiene reports and updated x-rays to referring offices by the next business day
- Call and retrieve patient x-rays one business day prior to patient appointments
- Call and confirm patient appointments one week in advance
- Properly break/cancel patient appointments with detailed notes
- Greet and check-in patients as they enter the practice
- Answer phones and assist in scheduling patients or answering questions

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
