- Program and set up Coordinate Measuring Machine’s (CMM’s). (PC-DMIS Software)
- Work closely with scheduling department to determine which parts are to be measured next.
- Produce reports generated by our software for customer SPC data.
- Generate first piece acceptance, final inspection, and in process inspection reports.
- The CMM Programmer helps oversee the Quality department and helps establish quality regulations for products and employees.
- Develop and maintain quality and site related documentation and the upkeep of process implementation and adoption.
- Ensuring conformance to established standards and aerospace requirements and develop appropriate measures for assuring compliance to the defined processes.
- Report to the Quality Assurance Manager as well as working closely with CNC programmers and set up personnel to fix or improve methods.
- Assist in meeting team goals through coaching, training, guiding, directing, consulting, and teaching necessary personnel.
- Assure adequate support for the current system, collaborate with users to develop refinements, upgrades, or additional capability to support the strategic business objectives.
- Work with other departments and personnel as necessary to assure accurate responses and perform verification and follow up activities.
Qualification
- 5+ years of CMM programming experience
- Extensive experience reading complex prints, CAD Models, etc.
- Extensive experience with GD&T
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Ability to manually measure parts using Micrometers, Calipers, and Various set of Gages, etc.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO standard requirements
- Significant demonstrated experience and knowledge of motivating, training, developing, and co-managing people
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the business both internal and external
- Able to identify and implement creative, innovative solutions
- Proven ability to lead and facilitate in a team environment and build consensus in a positive manner with customers and team members
- Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills. Proficiency in setting priorities and executing multiple assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
