Overview:
The VP of Resource Development is responsible for overseeing the Chamber’s core initiatives of organizational resources, strategical funding goals, investor relations, leading and managing the sales division, planning, and maintaining revenue and membership development and prospecting. This includes all revenue areas of the Chamber.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Provides leadership to the sales team.
· Motivates and encourages sales team to ensure sales and strategic goals are met.
· Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
· Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
· Assigns territories and sets goals for sales teams.
· Consults with potential donors to understand their needs; identifies and suggests sponsorships and memberships that will meet those needs.
· Resolve member concerns, staffing issues, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
· Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales initiatives and strategies.
· Provides funding expertise while strategically managing development.
· In addition to preparing the sales budget, monitors and approves expenses.
· Acts as company representative during investor relations negotiations.
· Personally responsible for development and maintenance of investors and members.
· Responsible for having a sales goal and meeting or exceeding that goal.
· Establishes and continues to build goodwill and great relationships with existing and prospective investors, members, sponsors and stakeholders.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Hires and trains regional and local sales managers and staff.
· Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of the sales team.
· Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
· Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM’s and/or related software.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
· Outstanding prior record of sales leadership experience required.
· At least five years of sales experience required.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
