Position Summary
This is a great opportunity for a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer with extensive, practical experience in electrical power design for large infrastructure projects. The selected candidate shall be an analytical professional specializing in medium and low voltage switchgear design; power system planning, operation and control; and distributed energy systems engineering and integration. We desire a collaborative communicator who is focused on building relationships and promoting synergy across business lines. The selected candidate will manage and be involved in all phases of projects from pre-proposal involvement to design, production, and construction.
Position Responsibilities
· Manage preparation of detailed calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
· Manage development of procurement documents, including drawings and specifications for design and construction phases
· Prepare and evaluate proposals, technical reports, and cost estimates
· Conduct detailed engineering analyses required for procurement and construction purposes
· Conduct meetings and build relationships with the client to review project details and requirements
· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineering and technical professionals
Desired Skills and Experience
· Manage overall design of assigned power systems projects, including engine generators, paralleling switchgear, protective relaying, medium and low voltage electrical distribution equipment, lighting systems, and associated electrical schemes and controls
· Conduct all required electrical specification sections
· Mentor junior engineers and designers, provide design direction and constructive feedback
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
· PE or EIT license in Texas
· 5 to 10 years of related engineering experience desired, ideally in the consulting field, or working with a full-service Architecture/Engineering Firm (A/E) or Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) firm
· Experience in water and wastewater treatment processes is a plus
