Job Description:
We are seeking skilled and motivated Extrusion Line Machine Operators to join our team at our Phoenix, Arizona location. As a key operating partner, you will play a vital role in our plant's success as we expand and employ a team of up to 8 individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the extrusion line to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and basic mechanical repair of extrusion components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems on the extrusion equipment and perform basic repairs, seeking help for major repairs and any required electrical work.
- Lead tooling changes, PM cleaning, and maintenance of tooling.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, including lock out-tag-out procedures and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Use company software and programs to initiate work orders, fill out shift reports, and communicate with maintenance and shift leads.
- Use a forklift to move items as required.
- Help maintain finished goods inventory and ensure efficient product flow.
- Initiate and recommend improvements, and provide solutions to repetitive mechanical breakdowns.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure quality standards are met
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate hollow form extrusion equipment or willingness to be trained.
- Mechanical adjustment and repair experience in job-related activities or willingness to be trained.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively
- Solid understanding of basic math and precision measuring instruments
- Experience in quality inspection processes
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English well.
- 5+ Years of Forklift operation, with certification.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow schedules.
- Valid State Driver’s License (preferred).
- Experience operating a forklift and attachments (preferred).
- Experience with uneven/difficult forklift operation (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, walk, squat, climb, reach, turn, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout a 10–12-hour shift.
- Ability to withstand dusty, hot, and noisy conditions.
- Ability to operate a forklift in all weather conditions and situations.
