Hiring an Independent Contractor Paid Monthly
Responsibilities:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to youth in a supportive and nurturing manner.
- Assist youth in developing positive coping skills and managing conflicts.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and behavioral health specialists, to address the individual needs of each youth.
- Create and implement individualized plans to support the educational and behavioral goals of each youth.
- Provide a safe and structured environment for youth to learn and grow.
- Facilitate group activities and discussions to promote social skills development.
- Monitor and document the progress of each youth, including any changes in behavior or emotional well-being.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or youth in a mentoring or educational setting.
- Knowledge of child welfare and special education principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with youth, their families, and other professionals.
- Ability to manage conflicts and diffuse potentially challenging situations.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with youth who may have behavioral or emotional challenges.
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of each individual youth.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
