This Dual full-time position is scheduled Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm (or closing). The pay is $16.00-$18.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. This is an onsite role at our center location

The
Administrative Assistant / Teacher provides support for the Preschool and Administrative Office. This position answers non-routine correspondence and assists with highly confidential, sensitive information while also developing a cohesive classroom, coordinates the curriculum, and manages the day-to-day operational activities students in care. The
Preschool Teacher should have high energy and work well with staff, students, and parents. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with and in an energetic environment and provide fun-filled learning opportunities while making a positive impact on the lives of children.
What You'll Do:- Submit to Florida Department of Children & Families the absenteeism’s of the VPK and School Readiness students.
- Planning and coordinating center wide activities and events; IE: Holiday Parties, Family Events, Team Building.
- On a quarterly basis submit the assessments of all VPK students to the Florida Department of Children & Families.
- Print, make copies, and distribute documents to teachers including attendance sheets and lunch menus, prepare binders, letters, memos and/or documents as needed/requested.
- Prepare the student’s name sheets for parents to sign when they drop off and pick up their children at the Preschool and during the Extended Day, verify each sheet of “sign in and sign out” acknowledgment (drop off and pick up children) of the parents is fully signed.
- Create and update lists of students and teachers and document student/teacher ratio in the book.
- Verify that teachers have copies of necessary sheets such as Incident Report, Disciplinary Report, etc.
- Plan individual and group age-appropriate exercises to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth
- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by creating classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standard
- Assist the Director in completing the purchase order of office supplies.
- Assist the school office when necessary to call parents when the students are sick.
- Greet parents and assist with intake of the children
What We Need from You:- High School Diploma or GED and/or Degree in related field of study
- FL DCF 45-hour training and CDA required

- Minimum of 1 year of professional early childhood education or experience preferred
- Must clear a full level II DCF background check
- Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed

- Effective in communicating with both students and parents to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns
