POSITION TITLE: Registered Nurse
On-call (PRN) RN position needed
Pay: $29-34; wage may be more DOE
The Registered Nurse performs a variety of duties, provides technical assistance in conjunction with the Nursing Supervisor and Physicians. Responsibilities include; administration of medications, medication education, triage of ill residents, monitoring of medical supplies. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Current licensure as a Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah.
Training and Experience:
Prefer at least 1 year working in the psychiatric field, working with psychotropic medications (side effects).
Must possess a current certificate for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Knowledge Required:
Knowledge of medication side effects with emphasis on psychotropics. Exceptional skills in decision making, time management, communications and human relations are needed. In addition, the ability to maintain confidential information is required and must have excellent communication skills.
1. Time management skills.
2. Good communication skills essential with Milieu Managers, Physicians and other nursing staff.
3. Good communication skills with resident’s parents, regarding consultations, results of consultations and any illness.
4. Documentation of any communication with the parents/guardian.
5. Accurate administration of medication.
6. Open to feedback from immediate supervisor, Clinical Director, Executive Director and Medical Director.
7. Good attendance or finds coverage for your shift.
8. Able to work independently without supervision.
9. Resident medication education.
10. Triage “sick call”: Most severe cases are seen by the physician.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay: $29.00 - $34.00 per hour
