Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavioral Health Technician (RBHT) to join our team. The RBHT will work under the supervision of licensed clinicians to provide direct support and care to clients with behavioral health needs. This role involves implementing treatment plans, monitoring client progress, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Treatment Plans: Implement and follow individualized treatment plans as developed by licensed clinicians.
- Behavioral Interventions: Apply evidence-based behavioral interventions to clients in various settings, such as homes, schools, or clinics.
- Group Facilitation: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate group work in person and via telehealth.
- Data Collection: Accurately record and maintain data on client progress and behaviors as directed by the supervising clinician.
- Support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist clients with daily living activities and promote independence. Assist clients in developing skills for daily living and coping strategies.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide support and intervention during behavioral crises, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including other technicians, therapists, and family members, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain certification and improve skills. Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all interactions, interventions, and progress notes.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, ethical standards, and organizational policies. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the provision of care. Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must be a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) as certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with behavioral or mental health issues is preferred. Experience working with Telehealth.
- Skills: Strong communication, observational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to engage in physical activities and manage clients during behavioral crises.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health.
- Must have a fingerprint clearance card
Working Conditions:
- Environment: Work may be conducted in various settings, including client homes, schools, clinics, or community centers.
- Travel: Some travel may be required to visit clients or attend training sessions.
