Description:
Maintain, repair and install a wide variety of machines and equipment with minimal down time. Check, set up and if needed operate various production tools and equipment prior to approving for production use. Maintain and repair the building and facilities.
Duties and responsibilities:
Report information that may impede the operation of the plant to the Maintenance Manager as soon as it is known.
Conduct periodic selective inventories of maintenance parts and supplies.
Maintain a sense of urgency during repairs that cause downtime.
Oversee contract work and installations done by outside vendors.
Support company policies and procedures, including union contracts, safety programs and good housekeeping.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance experience or 2 years of experience in each- Electrical (3 phase, PLC’s, diagnostics, etc.), Mechanical (hydraulic, pneumatic, bearings, pulleys, etc.), Fabrication (MIG, stick, plasma, grinding, cutting, etc.), and Building (doors, plumbing, roofing, framing, etc.). This person will have good people, customer service, administrative, verbal and written communication skills. Experience within corrugated, paper or similar manufacturing environments is a plus.
