Maintenance Assistant Job Duties:
- Aid in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing all aspects of the maintenance program.
- Aid in the completion of forms, reports, evaluations, studies, etc. related to the Maintenance Department.
- Make sure all maintenance work meets quality standards.
- Aid in the planned program of preventive maintenance.
- Assure that all defective machines, equipment, and appliances are repaired or replaced.
- See that grounds and facility are kept safe, neat, and orderly.
- Conduct monthly fire drills.
- Participate in facility committees and audits, as needed.
- Organize, maintain, and store all department-specific supplies and equipment.
Maintenance Assistant Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or completed a GED program is required.
- Knowledge of Life Safety codes and regulations.
