Position: LVD Project Manager
Location: On-site, various locations in Michigan, primarily starting in the southern half. Current PMs are located in Lansing, Grand Rapids, and West Branch, but flexibility for other service centers is possible.
Duration: At least one year, with potential for extension
Work Schedule: 5-day work week, with optional Saturdays if workload allows
Per Diem and Mileage: Eligible for per diem (for distances over 60 miles from home) and mileage reimbursement
Overview
Halo Land Management is seeking a motivated and experienced LVD Project Manager to join our team. This role focuses on managing LVD (Low Voltage Distribution) projects with a primary responsibility for acquiring easements, conducting research, and providing administrative support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in project management, particularly in reading and interpreting easements, managing due dates, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Easement Acquisition: Identify and acquire necessary easements for LVD projects, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct detailed research related to project needs, including land ownership, environmental impact, and regulatory compliance.
- Administrative Support: Create and maintain line lists, track project progress, and manage deadlines. Coordinate with other contractors and internal teams to ensure project timelines are met.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage LVD projects from initiation to completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, permits, and easement agreements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other project managers and internal teams to ensure alignment and efficient project execution.
- Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, specifically in project management, land management, or related fields. Experience with easement acquisition and LVD projects is highly preferred.
- Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret easements and other legal documents.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage due dates and schedules.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Proficient in administrative tasks, including document preparation and record-keeping.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Certifications: Must be a certified Michigan Notary.
- Work Environment: This is an on-site position with potential travel to various locations within Michigan. Flexibility to work from different service centers as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with LVD projects and understanding of electrical distribution systems.
- Familiarity with local and state regulations related to land management and easement acquisition.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
