Prestigious Law Firm in Downtown Fort Lauderdale looking for an experienced plaintiffs-side Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”) attorney with at least five (5) years’ experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in legal drafting, research, and litigation. This attorney will be primarily responsible for managing FCRA intake and litigation, including legal interpretation, advising on issues concerning furnishers and users of consumer reports, and advising on issues pertaining to Consumer Reporting Agencies (CRAs).
Responsibilities:
- Managing 50+ FCRA cases at a time
- Conducting legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis
- Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and contracts
- Drafting and filing at least four FCRA complaints each week
- Representing clients in court proceedings and negotiations
- Providing legal counsel on various matters
- Actively negotiating and settling cases
- Managing and overseeing legal administrative tasks
Compensation:
- Competitive salary and bonuses for actively managing cases from initial client intake to settlement
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admittance to The Florida Bar
- At least five (5) years of experience practicing as an attorney
- At least two (2) years’ experience in consumer law
- Proven experience in legal research, writing, and litigation
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
