As Training Coordinator, Watershed Management, you will be instrumental in promoting good government in DeKalb County by performing the following duties:
- Develops training programs for watershed management employees in order to meet certification and recertification requirements of State-mandated licenses; creates and modifies new or existing courses and course materials; researches industry changes; and prepares activities and course assignments.
- Coordinates, schedules, and sets up for training programs.
- Conducts and facilitates training programs to employees engaged in watershed management operations in DeKalb County and other municipalities.
- Administers and grades course assignments and exams.
- Maintains training and compliance records and prepares related documentation and reports; enters course exam grades; prepares training certificates; updates compliance databases; submits documents for license renewals; and prepares training and compliance reports.
- Assists with internal watershed management communications by preparing newsletters, promotional materials for training programs, flyers for departmental events, or related communications.
- Communicates with department staff, supervisor, other employees, schools, community groups, volunteers, the public, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.

To be minimally qualified, you must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental science, or Organizational Development, or a related field required; three years of experience in training, teaching, water/wastewater management operations, or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a Water/Wastewater Class II Treatment certification.
