Job Description:
- Performs scheduled maintenance including changing oil, filters, checking lights, tires & greasing, replace or repair light components and perform operations check
- Repairs and maintains a diversified fleet of trucks and equipment according to company preventive maintenance guidelines.
- Ensure all equipment are repaired up to Federal Commercial Motor Carrier DOT standards.
Responsibilities:
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Training offered
- Will work under a Shop Lead or Foreman
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and pass and Motor Vehicle Record check
- Be able to lift up to 70 lbs., frequently stand, stoop, kneel, crawl, walk, use of fine manipulation skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass background and drug test
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Computer skills, including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Internet Browser
- Valid CDL is a plus (Not Mandatory, must be willing to apply)
- NYS Heavy Duty Inspectors license is a plus (not mandatory, must be willing to apply)
- Must be willing to work weekends, evenings and additional shifts as assigned
- Must be available to willing to adapt
- Must have minimum tools to perform the maintenance and repair work
- Be motivated, proactive, focused and well organized
- Maintain high level of professionalism.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Experience:
- Diesel engine repair: 3 years (Required)
- diesel mechanic: 3 years (Required)
