Job Title: Senior Reporting Analyst
Department: Business Intelligence
Reports to: Vice President of Business Intelligence
FLSA: Exempt
Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (extended hours when requested)
Location: Orange Beach, AL
Compensation: $74,100 - $85,800 annually
Job Summary
The Senior Reporting Analyst is responsible for the development and maintenance of enterprise-wide reports based on the specific needs of our internal/external clientele. The position will analyze and present findings for strategic decisions.
Essential Job Tasks Additional duties may be assigned.
- Analyzing business processes and gathering business requirements for initiatives that support the strategic objectives of the company
- Assess reporting results through data investigation, analysis, and evaluation
- Create/update/distribute ad hoc and standard reports using various reporting tools to the university's specifications.
- Database management tasks
- Keep current with the latest analytical techniques and practices as set forth by the team leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge
- English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Sales and Marketing — Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
- Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
- Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Academic Processes – Knowledge of university guidelines, course descriptions, and academic terminology.

Education & Experience
Degree preferred
Familiarity with the following tools and programming languages.
Equipment Used
- Office equipment including computers, telephones, printers, faxes, and copiers.
- Software use include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Blackboard, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, and Power BI.
Work Environment
Works primarily within a climate controlled environment within a cubicle setting mostly sedentary with frequent sitting, occasional walking and lifting, and frequent near vision use for reading and computer use. Noise level is generally moderate.
