Service Technician: St. Johns, MI
The Service Technician is responsible for responding to service calls at the direction of the Service Manager, troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning dairy equipment to the satisfaction of the customer and requiring a minimum of callbacks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair broken and/or malfunctioning dairy equipment
- Complete and submit all required paperwork daily
- Must do emergency (on-call) service on a rotational schedule with other technicians
- Must be willing to engage in continuing education as needed
- Maintain a clean and well-kept uniform and vehicle
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications (Skills Required)
- Ability to use common repair tools and techniques
- Understanding of specialty tools and equipment necessary for troubleshooting and repairing dairy milking equipment
- Good customer relationship skills
- Ability to operate a forklift
Education/Experience (Preferred)
- Experience as a service technician - training available
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, handle, and move dairy equipment and hygiene supplies
