Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to patients according to prescribed dosages and schedules
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure proper medication management
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding medication administration and management
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures related to medication handling and storage
Requirements:
- Experience administering injections and medication
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and procedures
- Experience in critical care, ICU, or dementia care settings is a plus
- Ability to handle IV infusions, if required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Previous experience in home care or nursing home settings is preferred
