Position Title/Type: Prior Authorization Specialist - Full Time
Schedule Hiring For: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on experience and credentials)
Woodhaven Treatment Center, a leading voluntary adult alcohol and drug treatment facility, has an immediate opening for a detail-oriented and dedicated Prior Authorization Specialist. In this role, you will ensure timely and accurate processing of prior authorization requests, facilitating the provision of necessary healthcare services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities

Authorization Review: Review and process prior authorization requests for medical procedures, services, and medications.

Communication: Liaise with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to gather and verify required information.

Eligibility Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of authorization status and related documentation.

Coordination: Collaborate with other departments to ensure coordination of care and compliance with insurance requirements.

Requirements:
Qualifications

Certification: Acceptable certifications include MA (Medical Assistant), HIT (Health Information Technology), MBC (Medical Billing and Coding), CDCA (Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant).

Experience: Prior experience in medical billing, coding, or a related field is advantageous.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

CPR Certification: Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
