PRN Trauma PA (Hospital Based):

With a strong reputation for excellence, Arizona Advanced Surgery (AAS) is expanding its renowned team and seeking a passionate and skilled PRN Physician Assistant (PA) to join our prestigious Trauma Division at Banner Desert Medical Center (BDMC) and Banner Children’s at Desert (BCD), a leading tertiary care group in Arizona. Responsibilities:
- Dive into the heart of patient care, delivering exceptional service to those with acute injuries or emergency surgical needs, including critical care management.
- Take charge of initial assessments and management of acutely injured adults and children, ensuring meticulous documentation for seamless continuity of care.
- Showcase your procedural expertise by performing various interventions such as wound repair, thoracostomies, bronchoscopies, and line placements.
- Exercise your diagnostic prowess by ordering and interpreting a wide array of diagnostics, medications, and therapies.
- Step into the OR as a first assistant, supporting surgeons in life-saving procedures.
- Champion collaboration across medical specialties, ensuring every patient receives comprehensive and holistic care.
- Embrace the daily challenges of rounds, preparing detailed progress notes, and crafting thorough discharge summaries to pave the way for patients' successful recoveries.
Requirements:
- Previous trauma experience is required.
- Current Arizona PA licensure.
- Certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is mandatory.
- Prior experience in trauma or critical care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Prefer availability of 12 shifts per year minimum.
Job Type: PRN, Contract
Salary: $70/hr DOE
Schedule: 13-hour shifts, days/nights
