This position is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and upgrading production equipment from basic production equipment to complex wire and cable machinery.
Schedule
Fri -Sun 7pm -7am( Work 36 hrs. get paid for 52hrs)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Work Safely in all aspects of the job.
· Housekeeping of your areas of responsibility
· Perform electrical repairs of production equipment.
· Perform Basic troubleshooting of PLC and control equipment.
· Participate in Machine PM from an electrical perspective.
· Perform routine maintenance on production equipment.
· The individual must possess the mechanical ability to work on the production equipment.
· Basic knowledge of large HP AC/DC drive systems and software.
· Maintain logs, fill out ISO documentation, order materials and track materials used.
· Wire machines and electrical panels in line with prints.
· Ability to work with the other employees in the maintenance dept, operators and management to implement projects and process improvements.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS
· 5-10 years hands on electrical experience with large industrial equipment.
· Must be familiar with industrial and electrical laws.
· Excellent problem-solving skills involving complex mechanical and electrical systems.
· Ability to schedule and balance priorities; and possess a strong adherence to deadlines.
· Ability to run conduit and wire in an industrial environment.
· Basic knowledge of PLC’s preferably Allen Bradley.
· Basic computer skills, including maintaining Maintenance Equipment Work Order Management System.
· Familiarity with industrial controls such as Proximity sensors, pressure transducers, encoders, and safety
controls
· Knowledge of analog signals and digital signals and the ability to measure and troubleshoot them.
· Ability to read Ladder Logic Diagrams and Schematics.
· Proficient in the use of tools and electrical test equipment.
· Digital Multi-meter and Megger
· Oscilloscope
· Strong mechanical skills understanding mechanical power transmission, bearings, belts, guarding etc.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Lift 40 pounds from floor to chest.
· Climb stairs/ladder when necessary to install/service electrical components/equipment.
· Willingness to accept direction.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.30 - $34.09 per hour
