We are looking for a LPN to work our busy Family Practice clinic. This individual must be team oriented, enjoys a challenging fast paced environment and enjoys working with patients of all ages. This is a 4 day per week position.

Licensed Nurse RN / LPN
Reports To:Practice Manager or Nurse team leader
Qualifications:Current Oregon Nursing License.Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.

Objective:
Provides professional nursing care in an outpatient setting following established standards and practices. Acts as a liaison between patient and practitioner.
Essential Functions:
· Greets patients and prepares them for practitioner examination
· Assess patients for any new changes or problems
· Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments
· Maintains timely flow of patients
· Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests
· Arranges for patients testing
· Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls
· Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions
· Maintains and reviews patient records and other pertinent information
· Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials
· Prepares list of medical supplies needed
· Prepares instruments for procedures using sterile technique as indicated
· Administer medications as directed by practitioners (P.O, I.M., SUB Q, IV) and document the date, amount, site, route in the patient’s electronic health records
· Access and maintain central lines (key note: licensure allows RN only to draw blood from a central line)
· Administers narcotic medications per practitioner order
· Counting narcotics daily
· Attend monthly departmental nursing meetings
· Maintain current CPR certification
· Attend on-going educational classes and programs to maintain professional competency
· Participate in rotation schedule of on-call nurse
· Meet the standard of the basic nursing skills list
· Phlebotomy skills required
