Key Responsibilities:

Precision Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections on tooling products, production parts, and machines using CMM machines, Portable Coordinate Measurement Systems (PCMS) like laser trackers and Faro arms, and other precision measuring equipment.

Documentation and Reporting: Generate detailed inspection reports from specialized software and complete necessary documentation including Certificates of Conformance (C of C’s), AS9102 First Article reports, and various customer-specific forms.

Data Management: Organize, file, and maintain inspection documents and data to ensure easy retrieval and compliance with industry standards.

Tool Management: Identify and request new inspection tools as needed, ensuring all tools are calibrated and verified accurately, including coordinating external calibration services and reporting any non-conforming tools.

Training and Support: Assist in training new inspectors and provide support to shop personnel with blueprint questions and rework requirements.

Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of CMM and PCMS equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Quality System Adherence: Learn and enforce Galaxy Quality System (GQS) requirements, and assist in meeting customer and government standards.
Additional Responsibilities:

Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of inspection processes.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.

Support other departments as needed, contributing to a collaborative and efficient workplace.
Requirements:

Experience with CMM/Laser Tracker preferred
-
2+ years of experience using PC-DMIS or Verisurf software preferred
-
Proficiency with conventional measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) is essential

Ability to interpret aerospace blueprints is crucial
-
Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and typing, are preferred

Previous machine experience is an advantage

Must be self-motivated and proactive in ensuring quality and precision
Schedule
Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm to 2:30am.
