Job description
The ABA team is an essential part to ABA therapy. The behavior technician implements the treatment plan that has been created by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The behavior technician’s job is to teach your child the skills they need to grow within their environment and ultimately become independent. This may consist of decreasing maladaptive behaviors and increasing appropriate replacement behaviors and/or helping them learn to communicate and understand their environment.
We are seeking people who are truly passionate about working with kids, especially those who need special education/services. We are looking for long-term technicians who will build a lasting connection and strong relationship with their assigned child/client's family.
Qualifications
- Must be a Virginia Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Two (2) years’ experience supervising ABA's and working with Autism (preferred)
- 40 hours/week with some flexibility with hours and days.
- Must be able to handle up to 25 billable hours/week
- Clients must be visited once/month + in emergencies.
- Clinicians must supervise one hour/wk/client.
- Must read/review Progress Notes of the clinicians for approval or comments.
- Initial assessment of clients is the BCBA's responsibility.
- The treatment Plan of the client is the BCBAS's responsibility.
- Authorization requests of the clients are the BCBA's responsibility.
