General Purpose:
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a marketing program to identify referral sources, develop partnerships, and ultimately generate admissions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- develops and maintains a marketing program to identify referral sources with the approval of the administrator.
- contacts physicians, their office staff, hospital discharge planners, community organizations, clergy, insurance companies, attorneys, to discuss facility capabilities and documents each site visit.
- contacts chair persons of local groups regarding appearances at scheduled meetings.
- invites community groups to hold meetings in the facility, to tour the facility, and to volunteer at the facility.
- joins community groups as appropriate.
- attends committee meetings as assigned.
- take telephones inquiries, screens info needed and accepts reservations for resident admissions
- conducts tours and pre-admission interviews with prospective residents and families and explains services of the facility.
- confers with business office and director of nursing concerning admissions.
10. Explains to resident or representative all required documentation needed for admission, explains contracts and other paperwork and obtain needed signatures
11. Provide resident and responsible with copies of admission documents included, but not limited to the resident rates booklet, notice of privacy practices, advanced directives, information, admission, and financial
12. Explains facility policies in reference to room rate, billing procedures, visiting policies
13. Inform other departments of pending admissions and ensure room readiness for residents
14. Maintains relationship with residence and families in order to facilitate early identification of potential problems. Maintains close relationships with other departments to appropriately resolve grievances.
15. Educate and assist resident, executing advance, directives, and advance care planning
16. Insure that mentally incapacitated residence have a designated healthcare decision-maker to execute their rights
17. Referring residence and family appropriate social agencies facility does not provide the service. Consult with Social service Director as needed to accomplish this.
18. Attends facility meetings is required
19. Administrator and social service Director informed and up-to-date uncurrent status or significant resident or family issues
20. Maintains communication with the facility, business office, and medical records to ensure accurate census and manage care residents
21. Assist resident financial planning, including enrollment and disenrollment
22. Maintain a good public relations program that serves the best interest of the facility in the community alike
23. All other duties assigned
