Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will play a key role in supporting our communities and team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our population.
Responsibilities:
- Assist our Team with Provided Health Services:
- Medical Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient history, medications, allergies, and laboratory results, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, verifying insurance information, and processing medical records requests.
- Sterilization and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment, as well as maintaining inventory of medical supplies and ordering replenishments as needed.
- Patient Communication: Communicate with patients in a professional and empathetic manner, addressing their concerns, providing information, and following up on their care as directed by healthcare providers.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, to maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assisting program preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a medical assistant role.
- Community Outreach Experience

- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards clients from diverse backgrounds.
