We are currently seeking an experienced Dietary Director. The primary responsibility of the Dietary Director includes establishing and maintaining all standards of quality and productivity within the Dietary Department that enhances the quality of life for those residents entrusted to our care.
Primary Job Responsibilities of the Dietary Director:
- Establish, document, direct, and assist with general kitchen and dining room sanitation procedures
- Prepare schedules for all shifts, for all kitchen and dining room staff and post in their work areas
- Recruit, hire, train, discipline, and supervise a full complement of staff
- Comply with all state, local, or federal rules, regulations, and licensing requirements related to health, safety (OSHA) and general operations of the Dietary Department
- Cooking will be a daily responsibility
Dietary Director Expectations:
- Understand how to approach and communicate with all residents
- Maintain and sustain a safe community and workplace Follow Healthcare's Policies, Procedures, and Manuals
- Accept other duties as assigned
Job Requirements of Dietary Director:
- Certified Dietary Manager is a must for this position.
- Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalent
- Serve Safe certification or equivalent required
- Supervisory experience within a dietary environment
- Experience in fine dining preferred
- Must have a working knowledge of kitchen equipment operations, knowledge of nutrition and diet, and kitchen sanitation.
