Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed dosages and schedules
- Monitor and document changes in residents' health status
- Implement individualized care plans and ensure residents' needs are met
- Promote a safe and supportive environment for residents
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of hospice care, social work, and dementia care is a plus
- Familiarity with resident rights, HIPAA regulations, and medication administration protocols
- Ability to provide compassionate care and maintain confidentiality
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required
