Job description
We are looking for a skilled .9 Registered Nurse to join the OHOW team! You will work for a small, team-oriented organization that values patient and staff satisfaction. This position will require full-time, evening hours in our inpatient unit.
Work schedule includes one, 12 hour shift (7pm-7:30am) and three, 8 hour shifts (11pm-07:30am) per week.
We offer a competitive night differential of an additional $5/hr.
Core Responsibilities
- Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient.
- Conducts post-op care which involves vitals, assessments, monitoring and assisting with mobility.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Assesses and evaluates the identified problems, care provided, and patient’s responses are reassessed in order meet patient and family needs to ensure overall quality of care delivered.
- Serves as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Maintains up to date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, in order to ensure quality care and communicates any potential concerns with team members as needed.
- Educates patients and family members on treatment and care plans, as well as answering their questions.
- Directs other licensed and non-licensed personnel in the provision of care to patients as assigned.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
- Assumes other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Customer/patient service experience
- Ability to multi-task
Education
- Current Registered Nurse License
- BLS, ACLS Certifications Required
- BSN Preferred
