The The RN Designee has primary responsibility for managing the day to day quality of clinical programs of the Assisted Living Services Agency (ALSA).
Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision of the Wellness Nurses and all additional ALSA staff on site.
- Consult regularly with the Supervisor of the ALSA and the Managed Residential Community (MRC) Services Coordinator.
- Provide necessary written and verbal reports.
- Assure compliance with all Federal and State regulations.
- Foster a success-oriented accountable environment within the ALSA that provides the highest quality care and services.
- Conducts assessments, as often as necessary based on the client’s condition but not less frequently than every one-hundred and twenty (120) days.
- Participate in the QA program under the direction of the Supervisor of ALSA Services.
- Order, stores administer, document, and dispose of medications as per Federal, State, and Agency regulations.
- Participate in the RN on call rotation
- Provide competency training for all client care aides with return demonstration
- Serve as a liaison to families/designated representatives, health care agencies, emergency response teams, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers.
- Provide first aid and as needed
Requirements:
- Must have a current Connecticut Registered Nursing License
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience in nursing, at least one (1) year of which shall be in a home health care agency or community health program that included care of the sick at home.
