Pet Care Supervisor Summary: Monitors the operation and specific activities of all workers in the Pet Care Operations Department (Lodging, Activities, & Daycare) to ensure processes and procedures are followed, and tasks are completed in a timely and quality manner. Works to ensure each guest has a quality experience, monitors the safety of other employees and guests, and ensures the proper care of all dogs.
The following is a list of major duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties to ensure that our guests are Safe, Happy, & Healthy. This list is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Follow all company procedures
- Ensure all company procedures are being followed by staff
- Monitor daily tasks for all Pet Care operations and provide professional, respectful instruction or feedback.
- Organize and coordinate activities for all employees during the shift.
- Act as point of contact for all Pet Care related issues. Communicate issues to the Pet Resort Manager as necessary.
- Report any employee difficulties to management
- Ensure daily tasks are completed on schedule and accurately, utilizing approved workplans.
- Collaborate with other Supervisors to ensure Company standards and values are upheld.
- Ensure great service is provided to (human) clients.
- Help prepare, maintain, and monitor staffing schedules.
- Help ensure new employees are trained properly within proper timeline.
- Monitor inventory management of supplies.
- Effectively motivate fellow employees and create a positive work environment based on open, respectful communication.
- Provide Pet Parent Updates/“Check-On Pet” requests.
- Investigate and resolve “Guest Events” (Incident Reports) each day.
- Identify process improvements and make recommendations to Location Manager and Company owners.
- Able to provide quality baths and nail trims, including ensuring workspace is clean after the service is complete.
- Have positive and professional conversations with customers (in person and over the phone). Avoiding bad words, communicating the intended message for a positive outcome.

- Strong computer skills and ability to work with custom software systems including Pet Resort Pro.

- A self-starter and highly motivated
- Must love dogs and put the pets' health and needs as a top priority
- Successfully completed all assigned training with passing scores
Education/Experience
- Will need to Complete Pet Care and Front Desk training in Pet Resort Pro
Physical Requirements
Position is both indoors and outside. Majority of time is spent standing, walking and bending. Must be able to:
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Bend and lift several times per day.
- Walk intermittently throughout the day.
- Work around pet hair and dander.
- Work most holidays and weekends year-round.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience / training; Advancement to Supervisor position will be offered to those Leads showing the appropriate skills and qualifications.
