JOB SUMMARY
The Client Care Coordinator is primarily responsible for the onboarding of prospective clients and assistance in the steps resulting in them ultimately receiving service with ACES. Additional high level responsibilities may include requesting recurring service authorizations to ensure continuity of care as well and assisting with coverage changes of existing clients
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Working under the supervision of the Client Care Manager, essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serves as the primary point of contact for families, insurance and clinical team
Validate member ABA benefits and seek service authorizations
Collaborate with clinical team and insurance to maintain client’s ABA authorization is ongoing
Take ownership of client assignments
Provide high quality customer service

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work independently with only general supervision
Initiative and follow through
Proficiency with MS Office, word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Database software, project management software
Highly organized
Professional, positive attitude and appearance
Excellent communication skills
Previous Insurance knowledge
Previous customer service experience
Bilingual (Spanish speaking) a plus
Develop strong working knowledge of contracted and carved out insurance plans to help educate clinical teammates on requirements
1-2 years of insurance and authorization procurement experience preferred
Exposure to behavioral health/ABA field(s) preferred but not required
Coordinate the onboarding process for new clients, including collecting necessary intake information and required documentation.
Coordinate and facilitate the client assessments and develop client profiles to support clinical Team
Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure the availability of appropriate resources
Liaise with clients and their families to address any inquiries, provide necessary information, and facilitate a smooth transition into services.
Experience with Medi-Cal is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force and lift/move up to 15 pounds
May include, without limitation, the following physical demands: sitting, typing and viewing a screen(s) for long periods of time
