There are three major things that differentiate IT’SUGAR from other candy retailers. IT’SUGAR is looking for a fun and dynamic District Manager to join our team. The District Manager the sales and profit of the retail locations in the assigned territory/district through management, sales leadership, training and development, execution of non-negotiable standards of operation, cost control, and asset protection. The focus of the District Manager is to build and sustain a work environment staffed with engaged, high-performing store managers who create a customer experience that is second to none.

Oversee Multiple Store Locations:

Possess a strong business acumen with the ability to flex and adjust to account for internal and external factors.

Mentor, coach, and counsel the store managers within the assigned area.

Lead, coach and motivate through positive, enthusiastic brand representation and present solutions for ongoing challenges.

Trains and holds managers accountable to our customer engagement model, SUGARTAINMENT.

Makes staffing decisions including employment, training, task assignment, promotion, disciplinary action and termination for assigned functions.

Participate in all Regional initiatives as defined by Store Operations Leadership.
Recruit Great Talent:
-
Responsible for proactively attracting and retaining qualified candidates to ensure proper backfill for all leadership positions. Recruiting and networking with internal and external candidates with a proven ability to develop and maintain sincere, authentic relationships.

Participates in the selection process for Store and Area Managers and facilitates onboarding, training and coaching to ensures that policies and procedures are adhered to.

Hires candidates based on IT’SUGAR’S core values.
Achieve Sales Goals:

Establish a Collaborative Selling Culture within the district ensuring Managers/ Associates/Supervisors are trained in all IT’SUGAR selling training programs.

Leverage business analysis to drive profitable sales growth across the district.
Manage Store Operations
-
Oversees all operational standards for the assigned district of stores.

Oversee the allocated budget for the district.

Maintain consistent communication with Store Managers regarding product recommendations to increase sales/inventory.

Ensure stores follow all visual guidelines and support the brand image.

Validate the planning and set-up for special events and promotions.

Understands all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and communicates LP issues issues with Store Managers and escalates to HQ as needed.

What you need to join the fun (besides SUGAR):

High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

7+ years of retail experience
-
Prior sales and management experience in a retail environment is required.
-
Minimum 3 years of experience as a District Manager
-
Willing to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
-
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
-
Able to independently lift/move up to 25 lbs. Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs with assistance
-
Ability to work independently and lead a team of retail managers.

Ability to constructively coach others to success
-
Must be able to travel 60% of the time.

Must have strong computer skills.
