Description:
SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Finance Officer, the Senior Accountant is responsible for a variety of functions including: supporting the day-to-day accounting operations; balance sheet and income statement journal entry and reconciliations, preparation of management and operational reporting for internal department analysis, and completing other ad-hoc duties related to the finance department, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reconcile credit card activity timely to ensure accurate reporting.

Review day to day operating cash activities; researching outstanding checks and deposits, reconciling the multiple operating bank accounts in a timely manner.

Aid in the preparation of weekly management reports including cash flow statement.

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations while providing support for financial statement preparation.

Track all agent tax and retirement activity, submit payments promptly, and reconciling to the balance sheet on a semi-monthly basis

Process account payable transactions, entering and processing bills, confirming correct allocation to offices.

Maintain fixed asset and other intangible asset schedules.

Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable research.
- Prepare monthly financial reports by office to be distributed to management and founding partners
- Provide support in budget preparation, track and analyze budget variances, updating forecasts as needed.

Work closely with the finance team to provide management with accurate and timely information; respond to requests and inquiries as needed

Provide backup support for realty services and property management including posting payments & invoices, managing issues, tracking rents and mortgage payments, and communicating with tenants, vendors, and management.

Manage relationships with clients, service providers, and team members
- Improve the operational systems, processes and policies to support the department.

Serve as a resource to internal departments and contacts (i.e. office administrators, sales managers, other department heads, etc.).

Requirements:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting

Understanding of and ability to adhere to GAAP

Highly proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills can empathize, and easily establish rapport and build relationships with a variety of personalities

Polished, poised, maintains grace under pressure and professional demeanor in person, over the phone, through email, and on social media

Extremely organized and methodical; independently prioritize work and ensure orderly and timely workflow

Strong attention to detail and high-level accuracy with documents
