Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic educator to join our faculty as a Math or History Teacher, based on the candidate's strengths and expertise. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to inspiring a love of learning, fostering critical thinking, and promoting a growth mindset among students. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and challenging curriculum in Math or History.
- Foster a classroom environment that supports academic rigor and social-emotional learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth and development.
- Contribute to the school community by participating in extracurricular activities, events, and committees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Math, History, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience teaching Math or History at the K-8 or high school level.
- Strong commitment to fostering the intellectual, social, and emotional development of students.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Ability to integrate technology effectively into instruction.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Passion for teaching and a deep understanding of child development.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
