Group Facilitator/CADC Opportunity
Recovery Centers of America at St. Charles is currently looking for a full time group facilitator to join our team!
Position Overview:
The Group Facilitator is responsible for the delivery of RCA Substance Abuse curriculum for patients in our residential and IOP recovery programs. The curriculum, and training, will be provided for the facilitator to ensure quality and consistency in its delivery. There may be occasion for the Group Facilitator to work with the Clinical Director to develop new curriculum.
The facilitator will be responsible for 15-20 1-hour groups per week. The facilitator will also be required to attend staff meetings and trainings as assigned.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Ensure that groups are delivered professionally and effectively to meet desired learning objectives.
- Engage with the recovery community in a culturally competent way, in and outside the group setting.
- Complete group notes and all other paperwork as assigned.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of Associate Degree in Human Services, Alcohol & Drug Counseling, or related field of study required
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience, preferably in a residential setting
- A former patient may not be hired at the same location where they were treated until a minimum of one year has elapsed since the completion of their treatment at that location. Former patients may be considered for employment at locations within RCA other than where they were treated within a year after treatment.
