Job Description/ Responsibilities:
- Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Strong computer skills with the use of Excel, Microsoft, and company operating system.
- Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.
- May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems/subsystems resulting from rejection data from tests performed. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings.
- Precision hand soldering/component repair of surface mount and through-hole components along with circuit board repair.
- Strong hands-on skills such as breadboarding, soldering, and circuit board repair and fabrication.
- Skill in the reading and layout of schematic drawings and the ability to translate them into printed wiring boards.
- Perform tests and debugging of electro-mechanical assemblies, and printed circuit boards. Tests will be performed using various test methods and equipment to include but not limited to power supplies, digital multi-meters, and/or oscilloscope.
- Troubleshoot and repair/rework of nonconforming parts.
- Adjust and operate equipment and records repair data, pointing out deviations resulting from malfunctions or observational errors.
- Participates in discussions with technical and engineering personnel.
- Ability to work in a high stressful environment including changing from one task to another.
- Able to lift material up to 30lbs.
- Able to obtain a safe and clean work environment.
- Responsibilities
- Reprogram reported defective components, retest assembly in accordance with registration and functional test specifications.
- Replace subassembly components as needed to generate conforming electromechanical assemblies
- Disposition and provide a report of non-conformity of non-conforming electrical components to Tech Team B.
- Return conforming material back to stock.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen
High School diploma
IPC Certifications & J-Standard 610 certification preferred
Circuit board/component Repair required
1 to 5 years Experience
