Job Description Summary
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Coordinator to assess, monitor and ensure product quality. In this position, you must have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational and communication skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are a must, as well as the skilled execution of test cases and a passion for quality.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of quality, food safety and customer requirements ensuring specifications accurately and completely depict the requirements for a product; Review and analyze system and product specifications
- Create and consistently execute test cases (manual and/or automated) and analyze results in a timely manner; Generate logs to document testing phases and defects
- Collaborate with production team to investigate and prevent out of spec products.
- Effectively report the summary, root cause, and corrective and preventive action plan when face with quality & food safety concerns; Be proactive to prevent the item issues
- Facilitate communication between team and management; Work cohesively with the procurement team
- Report progress of vendor/supplier/intercompany-department to direct manager
- Assist food safety & Facility meetings, activities, and maintain meeting minutes; Educate supervisors and managers on corporate safety programs; perform food safety training and maintain documentation
- Approve incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulation
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
- Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed
- Assure proper execution of Hana Groups, Food Safety Plan and GPM programs
- Implement the existing Food Safety System programs develop by the Food Safety Dept.
- Perform Daily, Weekly and/or Monthly Food Safety routine check that includes monitoring of production and SSOP of Pre & Post operation.
- Represent the company during 3rd Party Certification Audit and State, FDA/USDA Food Safety & Sanitary Inspection
- Work with and assist Hana Group NA Food Safety Dept. to execute Food Safety Procedures in all stores and/or manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing, safety, and occupational health OR Bachelors of Science/Bachelors of Arts Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Animal Science, Biology, Microbiology, or closely related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience auditing suppliers of different commodities
- HACCP Certification
- Demonstrated technical knowledge in Quality Processes and Systems (e.g. SOP, SSOP and GMPs etc.)
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of regulatory requirements related to USDA, and FDA registered facilities. Working knowledge of FSMA and impacts to the industries that the company will be working with (preferred)
- Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff, both internal and external to the organization
- Experience with vendor relations in order to achieve goals; Demonstrated proficiency in building effective relationships with outside agencies
- Working knowledge of best practices in quality systems, food safety, and SPC; Knowledge of current regulatory requirements
- The position may require flex schedule as needed, including some weekends and nights
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment
- PCQI Certified (preffered)
- SQF Certified (preferred)
- HAACP Certification
- ServSafe Certified (preferred)
