JLL is searching for an experienced Senior Reliability Engineer who will work onsite for one of our pharmaceutical clients. This individual is responsible to support all efforts in the execution of site mechanical and electrical reliability excellence/maintenance programs and processes to effectively increase mechanical /facility system reliability and compliance. The Senior RE must ensure the highest level of professionalism, while meeting the clients’ needs, and a commitment to achieving the goal of 100% uptime throughout the mechanical and electrical systems. Protecting and improving the value of the client’s assets and ensuring that building systems continue to perform their intended function is fundamental to the success of this role.
Roles and Responsibilities
Inspect and document and prioritize asset and field conditions to evaluate remaining useful life
Compile and prioritize portfolio wide findings for client capital planning and lifecycle asset management programs
Ensure that the appropriate Maintenance and Reliability metrics are in place throughout the site, (planned/unplanned work, planning/scheduling metrics, cost metrics, MTBF, replacement asset value, etc.).
Create and conduct Reliability studies, as well as understanding drawings and schematics.
Create risk mitigation strategies for critical assets that can be deployed across the asset portfolio.
Maintain complete and accurate records/plans within computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) related to equipment, specifications data, BOM, failure history, etc.
Equipment preventative maintenance (PM) task creation and management for continuous improvement and PM optimization.
Proven ability to read, comprehend and apply information from technical manuals and other reference materials, document findings in detailed written report and database format
Identify and manage system of continuous improvement to ensure resolution to chronic “bad actor” equipment.
Investigate new technologies for reliability improvements
Ensure equipment history is maintained and analyzed for future trends
Actively collaborate with Maintenance and Planning groups. Provide leadership in driving Reliability Centered Maintenance best practices
Understands the process to coordinate with Operations manager to determine JLL’s role & responsibility for client projects on a case-by-case basis to ensure projects are assigned and managed per the MSA
The understanding of moving and rotating equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, etc., from an operations and maintenance perspective, mechanically and electrically
Responsible for ranking the criticality of the assets under their care, typically using Reliability Centered Maintenance approaches, and for defining the proactive maintenance approaches that are cost-beneficial to the business.
Conducts program and system/equipment audits on a periodic and as needed basis. Audits will generally be focused on safety, regulatory compliance, maintenance effectiveness, cost savings, and energy conservation.
Supports commissioning activities for all upgrade, renovation, and construction projects which may include, but is not limited to, PM job plans, reviews for maintainability, critical spares, documentation, etc.
Maintain all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the building including up-to-date building drawings and single lines as well as documentation mandated for the purpose of maintaining regulatory compliance with Federal, State or Local law.
Required Skills and Qualifications
BS in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
8-12 years of related maintenance reliability engineering experience, project engineering, and/or training associated with pharmaceutical equipment and systems.
Experience w/ Root Cause Analysis, Equipment Criticality Ranking, PM/PdM optimization, Defect Elimination, and/or Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
Experience w/ predictive maintenance technologies including, but not limited to, vibration analysis, oil analysis, infrared Thermography, ultrasound, and motor current analysis.
Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service, Strong interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills, both orally and written
Extensive mechanical, electrical, knowledge of commercial/critical/ pharmaceutical manufacturing /labs / distribution facilities required. Demonstrated technical expertise in facility related systems
Ability to facilitates/supports operational event and equipment failure investigations to ensure that the root cause/causal factors have been identified, corrective actions prescribed, and follow-up monitoring conducted as applicable, to determine effectiveness.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry and manufacturing is preferred.
Infor EAM CMMS experience preferred.
Certified Reliability Leader or Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional is preferred.
