High volume medical, procedural, and cosmetic dermatology practice is seeking 1-2 experienced Medical Assistants for full-time positions, Monday through Friday, plus one Saturday a month.
- One year dermatology experience or 3 years in the medical field required.
- EMR knowledge of Modernizing Medicine EMA is a plus and will be given priority

Education:
- Certified Medical Assistant Certificate preferred but not required.
- Experienced in Venipuncture.

- Demonstrates comfort with educating and selling skincare and lasers/filler/botox master plans.
- Effectively communicates via telephone/ slack, google meets. (w/ patients, pharmacies, labs, etc.).
- Expert in google suites, and an expert user of apple computers and tablets.
- Maintains friendly demeanor with high clientele.
- Maintains professional and friendly demeanor with coworkers.
- Effectively and efficiently updates medical records per patient and physician.
- Safely and accurately scribes prescription, laboratory, and diagnostic orders into the electronic medical record.
- Enters accurate (and appropriately thorough) information into patients’ medical records.
- Assists in the “prior authorization” process when needed, and has experience with biologics.
- Ensures that exam rooms remain clean and well-stocked.
- Takes vital signs when applicable, and can draw blood.
- Scribes thorough medical history appropriate to patient’s dermatological concerns.
- Clearly explains procedures and treatment plans to patients according to doctor.
- Prepares patients for their visits in a timely manner.
- Provides effective assistance during examinations and procedures.
- Efficiently collects and processes laboratory specimens.
- Understands and practices universal precautions.
- Effectively practices clean or Sterile technique during procedures.
- Safely disposes of contaminated supplies.
- Understands and practices proper sterilization techniques.
- Correctly prepares injections (Kenalog dilutions, Botox & Dysport dilution etc.) per physician.
- Thoroughly “pre-ops” patients for procedures (providing clear explanations regarding expectations, answers questions, and explains post-op wound care).
- Uses appropriate technique for suture removal, bandage changes, and other aftercare visits.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
