We are looking for a General Counsel with a specific background in California Labor Law relevant to State and Federal Labor Law and Healthcare Contracts with the government. This successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and documenting legal documents and assisting with legal matters for our company.
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 / year; based on experience
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, Weekends when needed
- 9:00am - 5:30pm
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Stay up to date and inform new laws, existing laws, and legal rights to executive members
- Working directly with management for policy implementation and employment law compliance
- Assist with legal matter of the business, including acting as the business legal representative
- Assist in the development and administer personnel policies and procedures
- Crafting and reviewing legal strategy in response to any litigation
- Direct knowledge of Los Angeles County health and mental health contracts, assuring compliance
- Assist in the development and administer personnel policies and procedures.
- Work to protect and prevent any potential claims against the agency
- Keep record of all legal documents and proceedings for the company
- Maintaining knowledge of the company’s legal documents and operations
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for applicable Labor Law
- Communicate with outside counsel
Qualifications & Requirements:
- JD Degree
- Knowledge of current Employment and Labor Laws
- Licensed Attorney with relevant experience
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work as a team and work independently
