Job Overview:
Perry Roofing Contractors is seeking a dedicated Payroll Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting regulatory compliance. Duties:
- Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees
- Perform bank reconciliations related to payroll transactions
- Utilize double entry bookkeeping principles to maintain accurate financial records
- Utilize Computer Ease/Deltek software for payroll processing and reporting
- Mentor junior staff members in payroll procedures and best practices
- Assist in regulatory reporting related to payroll taxes and deductions
- Manage accounts receivable processes efficiently
- Conduct cash flow analysis to support financial decision-making
- Implement accrual accounting methods for payroll expenses
Skills:
- Proficient in financial report interpretation
- Experienced in bank reconciliation processes
- Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles
- Familiarity with Computer Ease/Deltek software for payroll management
- Ability to mentor and guide junior staff members effectively
- Previous experience in regulatory reporting for payroll matters
- Skilled in accounts receivable and payable management
- Capable of conducting cash flow analysis for financial planning
- Knowledgeable in accrual accounting practices
Requirements:
- 2 year college degree (Bachelor or higher a plus)
-Knowledge of Cost Accounting and Job Costing Preferable
- Experience with Accounting Software
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Ect.)
