Job Description:
As a Client/Project Manager who excels as a STRONG multi-tasker, you will play a pivotal role in managing all clients from manuscript to market in a very deadline driven environment. You will be responsible for proactively coordinating with authors, editors, designers, and marketing teams, ensuring that each step of the process is executed efficiently and to the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities:
-Must be a forward thinker - this skill is vital to this role. You must be able to look at the calendar and recognize and take action today on things that have deadlines for the near future. You will be interfacing with team members and author clients daily and making sure each author is on track and schedule for launch as they go through the book publishing process.
-Leadership skills- you will be responsible for communicating with all clients in addition to the backend fulfillment team (Design, Editing, Formatting) from onboarding until book launch.
-Time management- You will be responsible for ensuring the team completes all authors books/projects on time and within budget
- Lead clients through each step of the process through weekly calls and emails to every single client
- Utilize Asana software to track daily project timelines, tasks, and team collaboration.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal departments and clients daily.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously (50-100 at any given time) while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. Publishing is a very deadline-driven business so meeting deadlines and attention to detail are critical. (Do NOT apply if multitasking or multiple projects going on at once overwhelms you. This is a fast-paced environment, even though you will be working remote.)
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation in Asana for EVERY client EVERY week
-Attention to Detail in this role is required and critical for your success in the role.
Qualifications:**
- Experience in Publishing industry preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in project management/multitasking/handling several clients at once, preferably in the publishing industry.
- Proficiency in Asana is preferred but not required
- EXCEPTIONAL degree of professionalism and strong communication and interpersonal skills required. You must love interfacing with clients via phone, zoom or email daily.
- Strong multi-tasking and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a very fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet, be a problem solver and communicate solutions to address client questions and inquiries.
- Proven experience in project management and handling high volume and several client accounts at once
- Leadership qualities with the capability to drive teams towards success
